Time flies like a shooting star, it’s been already a month since I got back in Bay Area. I have relocated my self in San Franciso, been really busy settling and re-organizing my atelier after a long trip to Japan. Just wanted to let you all of you know that there’s an exciting event coming up tomorrow for 3 nights in a row – “MISSION NIGHT MARKET”, organized and presented by Ken Ken Ramen in the heart of Mission district.

I was invited to have a vendor booth, selling greeting cards, prints, T-shirts, small artworks and bags (new stuff!)! There will be lots of clothes, goods, food, art installations and more!! This is the event you can’t miss, it’s going to be super exciting and fun!

My new project – collaboration with leather bag line “Hawke & Carry“. I have been wanting to make bags with my calligraphy artwork as part of the textile design. I met the bag designer Paula Collins through a friend of mine, saw her really soft and flexible leather bag on her shoulder, and immediately fell in love with her leather bags. Finally one of my dreams came into a shape! First group of bags are limited in stock.

august

During a little spare time for a new apartment hunting, I stopped by one of my favorite fashion boutique “AUGUST” in Rockridge – where is really close from my current house.  I found out today that AUGUST is closing literally at the end of August, and they are having a ridiculous sale.  It’s so sad to lose you AUGUST, from this nice neighborhood around college avenue.

“Are you guys closing down?”
“Yes, we are relocating to Mill Valley.”

I always loved the atmosphere of this boutique – airy, organic, and somewhat reminiscent – and they carry wonderful fashion brands from Europe.  Maison Martin Margiela from Paris, Acne Jeans from Sweden, MelanieDIXON and so on…. I found a beautiful dress in gray made by Acne, tried it on, and fell in love.  Plus it was waaaay cheaper from the original price!  They also have a stunning Margiela’s jacket, which was dyed in indigo blue in Japan (that’s what the store clerk told me!), but I needed to consult with my wallet.  As soon as I move in to a new apartment, I will probably visit August again before they leave this nice little town to a cozy fashionable town Mill Valley.

Golden Gate Bridge
