The New Republic reached out to me to have me work on calligraphy version of “Ampersand” for the Books & the Arts section for the April 8th issue. New Republic was bought by Facebook co-founder Chris Hughes recently, and the very first Ampersand for the revamped New Republic was designed by Stefan Segmeister & Jessica Walsh. I am honored to be the artist for this issue. My original artwork was photographed by Martin Diegelman at the New Republic’s studio in NYC.
